PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum gripper capable of surely holding and carefully handling a work. SOLUTION: This vacuum gripper 10 for suctioning a work is provided with a negative pressure port 14, an elastic sucker 20, and a sucker holder 12, and the sucker 20 is provided with a lip seal 22 at the work side for dividing a suction room 26 being fluid-connected to the negative pressure port 14. The suction room 26 is provided with ribs 36, 38 projecting therein, and the surfaces 30 of the ribs and/or the lip seal 22 comprise at least one groove 28 on the suction room 26 side.
