PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element having high converting efficiency at low cost by using semiconductor fine particles sensitized by at least one kind of methine coloring matter. SOLUTION: A sensitization coloring matter represented by formula I is used. In the formula I, Z1 is an atomic group forming five or six-membered nitrogen-contained heterocycle, Z2 is an atomic group forming five or six- membered heterocycle by condensated with a benzene ring, Q is a group necessary for forming a methine coloring matter, R1 is an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, L1, L2 are methyl groups, p is 0 or 1, M is a charge balance pair ion, m is the neutralization number of charge of molecule, V1 is a substituent, and n is 0, 1 or 2. A cyanine coloring matter, a merocyanine coloring matter, a rhodacyanine coloring matter, a styryl coloring matter and the like can be used corresponding to a structure of Q. For example, a compound where Z1 is O, Z2 is represented by a formula III, R2 is C2H5, R1 is (CH2)2 COOH, and M is Br in a formula II, and the like can be used. A coloring matter adsorption amount to a semiconductor fine particle layer is preferably 0.01-100 mmol per 1 m2 of a coating film. |
