PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely connect external wires without needing lead pins. SOLUTION: In this IC socket, wire insertion holes 4 of a fixed depth are bored in fixed positions of a bottom part of a socket body 1, melted solder for wire connection is previously poured into the respective insertion holes 4, and desirably, the solder is packed therein so that its part outwardly projects to form a semi-spherical shape in its solidified state. To connect external wires thereto, it is only necessary to insert the external wires into the wire insertion holes 4 while the solder therein is in a melted state.
