PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive color image forming device capable of surely switching the driving of a color mode and a monochromatic mode by reduced power consumption. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor 102B of black is rotated and driven by the transmission of driving force from a driving motor 112 through driving pulleys 110 and 113, a driving belt 115, a driving gear 108 and a photoreceptive gear 107B, and also photoreceptors 102C, 102M and 102Y of respective colors are rotated and driven through a driving pulley 111, photoreceptive gears 107C, 107M and 107Y and coupling gears 116 and 117 at this device 100. The driving force from the driving motor 112 is transmitted to a sliding mechanism 130 for only a specified time by a half-rotation clutch 119 at the switching time of the color mode and the monochromatic mode, and the transmission and the interruption of the driving force from the driving motor 112 to the photoreceptors 102Y-102c of colors other than black are switched by the sliding mechanism 130, and also a carrying belt 105 is attached and detached to/from the photoreceptors 102Y-102C of the colors other than black by rotating a cam 134. |
