METHOD FOR ESTIMATING RATIO OF SIGNAL TO NOISE ON DIGITAL SIGNAL RECEIVED BY RADIO COMMUNICATION RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for remarkably reducing the dispersion of an estimation value when a reception signal contains several codes and for estimating noise by allocating average noise power being a ratio between one total of estimated noise power and the other total of received codes to a prescribed digital signal. SOLUTION: Power resource required for permitting the ratio of a signal to noise satisfies specification is allocated to respective commutations from a control station 20 to terminals 16 and 18 and from the terminals 16 and 18 to the control station 20. Thus, communication has required service quality guaranteeing a bit error rate lower than a prescribed limit value without excessive power consumption. In the case, noise power is decided for all digital signals received by a receiver and the estimation can continuously be executed even if the code toward the receiver does to exist. Thus, the average value of noise used for estimating the ratio of the signal to noise at every code is decided.
