PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of careless disturbance to feeding of a recording sheet to attain proper printing in an electronic camera having a printer section. SOLUTION: The electronic camera has an LCD 26 fitted to an enclosure of the camera to reproduce and display image data as a video image and a printer 7 to print out an object image onto a photographic recording sheet. The LCD 6 is supported by a turn board 62 in a way that the LCD 26 selectively takes a horizontal position or a vertical position for printing. The printer 7 receives the photographic recording sheet and prints out an image on the sheet while discharging it from a discharge port 71 of the enclosure of the camera. A system controller 5 selects an operating mode between a photographing and reproduction mode and a print mode in response to the selection of the LCD 26 between the horizontal position and the vertical position for print purpose.
