PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the control of a recording power capable of performing a constant recording even when the fluctuation in recording power is large. SOLUTION: After a CPU 11 makes a space power (a power monitoring signal which is to be outputted from an I/V conversion circuit 5) being the luminous power at the time of forming spaces of an LD 2 to be subjected to sample-hold with a sample-and-hold circuit 6 at prescribed times, the CPU 11 changes the sample-hold interval of the space power in accordance with the magnitude of the fluctuation in space power of the prescribed times. For example, the CPU 11 changes the sample-hold interval of the space power in accordance with a magnitude in which the fluctuation of adjacent space powers each other becomes the maximum among the fluctuation in space power of the prescribed times. Or, the CPU 11 shortens the sample-hold interval of the space power when the fluctuation in space power of the prescribed times is larger than a prescribed amount. |
