PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To makes an ordinary card and a rewritable card usable for a point card system. SOLUTION: A point card 1a having a type recording section 3a in which the type of card is recorded and an unerasable irreversible printing area 5a and a rewritable card 1b having a type recording section 3b in which the type of the card is recorded and an erasable reversible area 5b are used for a point card system. The point card system is provided with a card type discriminating means 6 which discriminates the types of the cards 1a and 1b from the type recording sections 3a and 3b of the cards 1a and 1b, an amount inputting means 14 to which amounts of money are inputted, and a point converting means 13 which converts the amount inputted to the inputting means 14 into an acquired point. The card system is also provided with an erasure head 10 which erases the data printed in the reversible printing area 5b of the rewritable card 1b when the discriminating means 6 discriminates the card 1b and a printing means 9 which prints the acquired point converted by means of the converting means 13 in the irreversible printing area 5a of the point card 1a or the reversible printing area 5b of the rewritable card 1b. Therefore, both the ordinary point card 1a and rewritable card 1b can be used for this point card system. |
