PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make fixation trailing and the fixation offsetting at the fixing time prevented from occurring. SOLUTION: This fixing device is, letting the holding force of a unfixed toner image formed/carried on a surface of transfer material S enforced by applying the charge bias in same polarity as the transfer bias from a power source 21 to a transfer roller 5, on a charge needle 20 on the traveling direction in the upstream side of transfer material S in a fixing nip part N, and imparting the electrostatic charge in same polarity as the transfer bias with regard to a rear side of the transfer material S that the unfixed toner image is transferred on the surface thereof is let passing through a fixation nip part N. In such a manner, even in the case of forming the image on the moistened transfer material S, the fixation trailing and the fixation offsetting can be prevented from occurring.
