PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically measure the effective depth of a screw hole after screw hole machining. SOLUTION: By this measuring method, the radius Rn of the prime hole 66 of the screw hole is measured at multiple points, it is judged that measured radius Rn of the screw hole 64 reaches a previously inputted threshold for the hole radius, and the depth Zn at the measurement point Pn where the threshold is reached is set as effective screw hole depth ZD, so the effective depth ZD of the screw hole 64 can be measured automatically with ease and the measurement man-hour and inspection man-hour of the screw hole 64 are reducible.
