PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a stereoscopic image by which a corresponding point can be decided with less error at a higher speed by using repetition of a simpler calculation. SOLUTION: An evaluation source image and an evaluation destination image are decided from a stereoscopic image (S1, S2), windows with different sizes are set with respect to a pixel desired for measurement in the evaluation source image (S4), an area of the evaluation destination image of the same size as each window is sequentially changed (S7, S8), the similarity of each area is respectively calculated, the similarity factors obtained each window are summed, and an area providing a highest similarity among the results of the sum is obtained as an object of a corresponding point (S5), and a distance image in the entire image is obtained (S9). Furthermore, this processing includes that the similarity factors obtained for each window are summed and the corresponding point is obtained from an area with a highest similarity and a distance between pixels in the area is calculated and the highest figure is decided as the distance between the areas. |
