<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out piping and pipe installing work by means of a single kind of a spanner without respect to the sort or the number of pipe joints by unifying outline dimensions of box nuts screwed to respective connection ports in sorted various kinds of pipe joints. SOLUTION: Box nuts 2 are screwed to both connection ports 3 in a joint main body 1, and a main body nut 4 with the same outline dimension as the box nuts 2 is formed in the joint main body 1, while a fastening nut 5 with the same outline dimension as the box nuts 2 is screwed to the joint main body 1. A mounting plate is put between the main body nut 4 and the fastening nut 5, and a pipe joint is fastened by means of the fastening nut 5 so as to be fixed to the mounting plate. In this way, pipe joint installing work and piping work for connecting pipes to both connection ports 3 by means of box nuts 2 can be carried out with a single kind of spanner, because the outline dimensions of the box nut 2, the main body nut 4, and the fastening nut 5 are equal to each other.</p> |
