PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the shifting quality by executing the feedback control to agree an actual rate of change of a rotating speed of an input shaft of an automatic transmission with a corrected rate of change of the rotating speed of the input shaft. SOLUTION: A controller 16 determines the intake air mass based on the intake air quantity of an engine 11, the atmospheric pressure and the intake air temperature, and sets a correction coefficient corresponding to the intake air mass. In the down-shift of an automatic transmission 12, a corrected rate of change of a rotating speed of an input shaft is determined by correcting a reference rate of change of the rotating speed of the input shaft as a target with the correction efficient. Further the learning and the feedback control are executed to agree the actual rate of change of the rotating speed of the input shaft of the automatic transmission 12 with the corrected rate of change of the rotating speed of the input shaft. Whereby the rate of change is adjusted to the target rate of change corresponding to the change of the atmospheric pressure, the overshoot and the generation of high fore and aft acceleration can be prevented even in the down-shift during the lowland travelling and the highland travelling, and the optimum down-shift control can be executed. |
