PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor film peeling method capable of peeling a needless phosphor film in a simple method and making maintenance almost unnecessary by spraying air containing a solvent to the needless phosphor film attached to the outer surface of a glass end part to soften the phosphor film with the solvent, and peeling the softened phosphor film by air pressure. SOLUTION: After a phosphor is applied to the inner surface of a glass bulb 1, a phosphor film around a glass bulb end part 3 is dried after a while, air cocks 6, 8 of nozzles 4, 5 and cocks 7, 9 for a solvent of butyl acetate for example are opened, and air containing butyl acetate is forcibly jetted from the tips of the nozzles 4, 5 against a needless phosphor film in the glass bulb end part 3. The phosphor film is softened with the butyl acetate solvent. By applying air pressure to the softened phosphor film, the needless phosphor film is completely peeled off.
