PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arbitrarily set the height of a filament fixing part and provide sufficient luminous intensity in a semiconductor element built-in fluorescent character display tube. SOLUTION: This fluorescent character display tube is provided with an insulation substrate 2 having a phosphor layer on its surface, and a filament anchor 1 for imparting predetermined tension to be filaments 7 suspended oppositely to the phosphor layer, the filament anchor 1 comprises an anchor base 4 formed on the insulation substrate by having a predetermined height, arm bodies 5 protrusively formed on one side thereof and each having a predetermined length, and filament fixing parts 6 formed at its tip, and each of the arm bodies is bent toward the insulation substrate at its root part.
