PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crystal resonator, which is excellent in a frequency temperature characteristics within the wide temperature range of a crystal resonator, is also satisfactory to external environment change, and is highly stable with high performance and very small stress. SOLUTION: This crystal resonator 101 located at the center part in the housing 103 of a thermal module crystal resonator is lead type and a surface mounted type crystal resonator using a ceramic package. Even though the resonator 101 itself if a passive element, when an electric signal is applied from the outside, a mechanical vibration proper to crystal is generated and heat is radiated around the crystal. Environment change from the outside, i.e., radiation and a convection being thermal influence and heat condition from lead terminals 104 and 105 of the crystal resonator are suppressed by filling liquid, gas or solid being thermal insulation and cooling medium in space 102 so as to surround the resonator 101.
