PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a display luminance difference which is different between the right and left of a screen by counting the display ON number on one line in advance, adjusting the degree of gradations according to the display ON number, and making display. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display control circuit 20 converts inputted display data for multi-colored display by an FRC converting circuit A40 from (n)-bit display data enabling one display dot to make a multi-colored display to one-bit display data for simple-matrix type liquid crystal display module display. Further, the liquid crystal display control circuit 20 detects the display ON number on one display line of a liquid crystal module 10 and controls an FRC converting circuit B70 according to the detection result. The liquid crystal module 10 makes a gradational display with the gradational display data. Consequently, the display data themselves correct the influence of dielectric constant anisotropy from the display data in advance to make display and to reduce lateral shadowing, thereby improving the display quality.
