<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence display panel having a long service life and suppressing the enlargement of non-luminous parts, and provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This display panel is equipped with a substrate 1, a plurality of first electrodes 2, terminal pads 5, organic electroluminecence media for covering the first electrodes 2, and a plurality of second electrodes formed on the organic electroluminescence media in the direction normal to the first electrodes 2. Portions where the first electrodes 2, the organic electroluminescence media, and the second electrodes overlap with each other, serve as luminous pixels. Electrical insulation films 3 are formed on the first electrodes 2 so as to expose, at least, part of the first electrodes 2, and a plurality of barrier ribs 4 made of an electrical insulator and projecting from the substrates 1 in the direction normal to the first electrodes 2 are formed on the electrical insulation films 3. Each barrier rib 4 has an overhang part projecting in the direction parallel to the substrate 1 to extend as far as between the terminal pads 5, and demarcates an area where a second electrode and a terminal pad 5 are electrically connected to each other.</p> |
