<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and a method for configuring a replica circuit highly reliably, flexibly and efficiently. SOLUTION: In this semiconductor circuit 10, a replica circuit 12 is configured as a circuit being equivalent to a path configuration selected as a critical path in a semiconductor circuit 11, an adjustable delay element 12A is provided, e.g. between the output side of the circuit 12 and a phase comparator 13. The circuit 10 is so configured that, for instance, after manufacturing a chip, the delay value of the element 12A is adjusted into a value at which a replica system including the circuit 12 reliably operates against the critical path delay of the circuit (LSI) 11 with a margin. Thus, excessive margin setting can be prevented, and also when a margin is smaller than estimated, a malfunction can be prevented by increasing it.</p> |
