<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a congestion by incorporating a data sequence with respect to a plurality of terminals to a fixed information packet telegraphic message, transmitting it to a network as a broadcasting telegraphic message and supplying a power source when each terminal under sleep receives the data sequence which is set for itself. SOLUTION: One's own MAC address intrinsic to each computer terminal(TM 1 to TMN) is set in a LAN controller 4. A host device is provided with a terminal management file for storing a flag which indicates whether it is under working in accordance with the MAC address set for each terminal or not. When it is required that the power sources in some of the terminals TM1-TMN are supplied, the processor of the host device refers to the terminal management file, reads the MAC addresses of the power source supply object terminals TM1-TMN and generates the data sequences consisting of a fixed pattern. They are made into the packet telegraphic message and transmitted to the network as the broadcasting telegraphic message.</p> |
