摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain efficient power generation according to generation requirements such as charging and the drive of auxiliary machinery, by generating electric power by means of a generator connected to an internal combustion engine through a communicator when it is determined that the generation of the generator disposed between power transmission systems to a driving wheel is not permitted. SOLUTION: When the charging condition of a battery is low, electric power is generated by a first motor generator 12 connected to an engine 3 through a communicator 11. On the other hand, when the charging condition of the battery is high, the electric power is generated by a second motor generator 4 connected to a power transmission system which transmits power to a rear wheel 1, that is, a driving wheel. When a vehicle is in a driven condition and large driving force is not required for start, electric power is supplied from the battery to the second motor generator 4 to start the vehicle. The second motor generator 4 serves as a motor at this time and cannot generate the electric power. Therefore, the first motor generator 12 can generate electric power.
