PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of data by strengthening the correcting ability for the error of data in the manner of effectively utilizing the alternate recording region prepared as the alternating region in the case a defective sector is generated in the data recording region. SOLUTION: Codes C2 are added for every data amount corresponding to a recording track T of a magnetic disk with respect to the data constituting the AV data stream, or the like. Then, the data are written into the data recording region A1 of the magnetic disk, and also a code C2 is written into the vacant region not being used as the alternating sector among the alternate recording region A2 of the magnetic disk.
