PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shared equipment control method and a server/client system for providing the quick and comfortable use of shared equipment to a user without eliminating the need to negotiate from a client device side through a network to the shared equipment of a server device each time during a user operation or the like at the time of displaying connectable shared equipment on a network. SOLUTION: At the time of controlling a shared equipment shared by plural information processors connected through a network, the shared equipment is locally connected to one of the plural information processors, and the other information processor is provided with a storage part 4B which stores the function and control information of the shared equipment, and the other information processor inquires the function and control information of the shared equipment, and when the function and control information of the shared equipment is present in the storage part 4B, the other information processor displays the function and control information of the shared equipment in the storage part 4B prior to the use of the shared equipment.
