PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute inspection of manufactured goods continuously, even when a communication trouble with a host computer occurs, and to remove the possibility to losing inspection result information. SOLUTION: In the case of the state where communication with a host computer 6 is impossible at the time of starting inspection, a control computer 4 sets an inspection condition following the content of an inspection condition file read from a local disc self-contained in its own machine, in an image processing device 3. In the case of the state where communication with the host computer 6 is impossible at the time of writing an inspection result file in the host computer 6 after finish of the defect inspection, the inspection result file is reserved in the local disc, and when communication with the host computer 6 becomes possible at the time of finish of the inspection of the next time or after next, the file is written in whole in a remote disc of the host computer 6.
