摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and efficiently detect an volatile component in a sample water by arranging a gas introducing means and a gas evaluating means in positions within each specified length from the surface of a sample water source consisting of environmental water. SOLUTION: When an oil film by light oil to be measured, for example, drifts on the surface of environmental water and reaches under a gas inlet port 2, the volatile component of the light oil contained in the air present on the water surface 6 is introduced to a gas basin 8 through the gas inlet port 2 by a pump 3. When the internal temperature of the gas basin 8 is set to 20 deg.C by a temperature regulator 4 at the atmospheric temperature of 25 deg.C, the gas delivered from the gas basin 8 is kept in the vicinity of the saturated steam pressure of the water at 20 deg.C. Therefore, even if the atmospheric temperature is changed, it can be kept at a fixed absolute temperature. As a gas evaluation sensor 1, for example, a quartz oscillator covered with a lipid is usable. The resonance frequency of the gas evaluation sensor 1 is changed when it adsorbs an organic matter in the gas. Accordingly, when the resonance frequency is measured, the adsorption quantity can be known from this change, and the concentration of the organic matter in the gas can be also known.
