PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substantially maintenance-free rotational balance correcting unit which can be reduced in size easily and can withstand against a significantly high sped rotation. SOLUTION: The rotational balance correcting unit comprises a balance rotor 1 and a pole plate rotor 2 turning together with a rotary shaft 6, and a stator 3 fixed to the outside of the pole plate rotor 2. Magnetic poles are formed alternately on the outer circumferential surface of the balance rotor 1. When the soft magnetic salient poles 22 of the pole plate rotor 2 are excited correctly by both exciting coils 31, 32 of the stator 3, the balance rotor 1 turns about the rotary shaft 6. When the balance rotors 1 of both units 100, 200 are turned to cancel static unbalance, static balance is established around the rotary shaft 6. Since the rotational members 1, 2 are substantially rotationally symmetric, the rotational balance correcting unit can withstand against high sped rotation and the size thereof can be reduced easily.
