agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves harrowing ground and forming soil and plant cover by adding cultivating additives, such as seed growing wastes, for instance chaff, onto ground. Amounts of chaff are determined on the base of predetermined seeding rate of each chaff component. Chaff with seed content of 43-37% is mainly used as additive. Amount of chaff depends on seeding rate and purity coefficient of each component. Chaff component seeding rate is calculated from formula: G=100M/N, where G is component seeding rate; M is number of components per 1 hectare at 100% germinating capacity and purity; N is seed natural germinating capacity. Purity coefficient is calculated from formula: T=100 S/Q, where T is purity coefficient; S is amount of component in unsorted mass; Q is total amount of unsorted mass. Chaff used as additive contains unfanned seeds of: wheat, bird rape, sagebrush, camomile, fescue, false wheat, fowl bluegrass, bent, shorthear etc. Method is used for recultivation of plant and soil cover on bare grounds in Arctic and Subarctic conditions. EFFECT: improved quality of soil recultivation and reduced process costs. 6 cl, 1 tbl
