PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple jointed chip resistors capable of reducing a soldered area occupying a mounting area for mounting the multiple jointed chip resistors on a mounting board. SOLUTION: This resistor comprises a plurality of pairs of first upper-surface electrode layers 22 provided on part of both end portions of the upper surface and part of both side surfaces of a board 21, a plurality of resistance layer provided so as to be electrically connected to the layers 22, a plurality of pairs of second upper-surface electrode layers 25 provided at least on the upper surfaces of the layers 22, a protection layer 24 provided so as to cover at least the layers 23, and a plurality of pairs of solder layers 26 provided so as to cover at least the exposed upper surfaces of the layers 25.
