PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a television stand for preventing myopia by which a user watches TV naturally apart from a television screen in order to avoid myopia when watching TV. SOLUTION: The height H of a top plate of the television stand is selected higher than the eyes L of a user sitting in the formal way and the depth D of the top plate is selected as a size by which the user close in front of the television stand and sitting in the formal way cannot view an upper face of the top plate. Thus, when the user watches TV closer to a television screen, the user cannot view the television screen because of the presence of the top plate. The user should stay apart from the television screen to view the television screen without the hindrance of the top plate. Thus, myopia can naturally be prevented.
