MOBILE TERMINAL AND DATA UPDATING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient system that can detect the images of running obstructions which are not shown in visible pictures and can surely make data updating. SOLUTION: A navigation device 100 for vehicle first receives a data updating time schedule from a data center 150 through a broadcasting satellite 200. Then the device 100 discriminates the transmitting time of updating data from the received time schedule and turns on the power supply to communication equipment 28 by means of a power supply section 26. On the other hand, the data center 150 transmits relevant updating data following the time schedule and the data are broadcast from the satellite 200. Upon receiving the updating data, the navigation device 100 updates the data held on a vehicle side based on the received updating data.
