medicine, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to "Mexidol" used as an antibacterial agent. Novel agent shows bactericidal and anti-inflammatory activity, stimulates detoxification processes, excludes the necessity of inclusion of additional detoxification therapy (hemosorption, plasmapheresis, UVI-blood, blood laser irradiation). Broad spectrum of pharmacological activity of "Mexidol" gives possibility to decrease doses and amount of antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and fibrinolytic preparations administrated with agent proposed.
