PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge removing method for a photosensitive body where control for stopping the photosensitive body is facilitated and elimination process for residue charge can be carried out efficiently while lightening the load imparted to the photosensitive body. SOLUTION: In the charge removing method for the photosensitive body of an image forming device utilizing a reverse developing method, output of a transferring device 5 is shut off at time T11, when a sensitive body range end part P before the output of the transferring device 5 is shut off is brought close to vicinity of a main electrifying device 2 (time T13), fist the main electrifying device 2 is shut off, then, when the point P is brought close to the vicinity of a developing device 4 (time T14), output of the developing bias is shut off, next rotating drive of the sensitive body 1 is shut off (time T15) and the point P is stopped at a position in between a developing position and a charge removing position by inertia of the photosensitive body 1. The residue charge of the photosensitive body 1 is distributed between the developing position and the charge removing position and the residue charge is removed by turning on charge removing device 8 before a next start of a rotation. |
