<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and efficiently execute data processing following composite function setting for combining each peripheral equipment on a network while visually confirming the validity of a combining function by a simple icon instructing operation. SOLUTION: The connection information and using situation of each peripheral equipment is obtained through a network by a CPU 2, and the system constitution is displayed with the using situation on a CRT 16 based on the obtained information. When a user instructs the overlap of one icon with another icon for intended composite function processing by operating a mouse 13, the CPU 2 judges whether or not the combination of each icon is valid, and displays the setting screen of the combining function based on the judged result, the controls the combining operation of each corresponding peripheral equipment based on the setting on the setting screen.</p> |
