<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the axial length by reducing the number of balls mounted in each thread groove in a ball screw mechanism. SOLUTION: A driving force transmitting device 10 consists of a main clutch mechanism 10c, a pilot clutch mechanism 10d, and a ball screw mechanism 10e positioned between both clutch mechanisms and converting the frictional engagement force of the pilot clutch mechanism 10d into the pressure force to the main clutch mechanism 10c. The ball screw mechanism 10e is formed by a multiple thread screw.</p> |
