PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely confirm the end of transmission and the result of its acknowledgement by storing a transmission end notice and return mail information to a communication management memory of a transmitter side communications equipment. SOLUTION: A mail header of a transmission mail that is automatically generated is filed as a transmission file and stored in a communication management memory 5, to set information data to identify a transmission file original. The information data of the transmission file are given to a header part of transmission data and the transmission mail is transmitted to an LAN channel 13. A transmission time and a transmission end notice are stored in the communication management memory 5, report information is registered and imparted with the indication of transmission result 'OK'. In the case of receiving a return mail from an Internet communication unit of an opposite party, mail header information is analyzed, the information of the mail is stored in the communication management memory 5, report information denoting acknowledgement 'OK' is registered to a file. An output of a result of a communication management report is instructed for confirmation.
