PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always stably output an excellent image without causing any unnecessary horizontal stripe by preventing a faulty image caused by the discharge of toner from a conductive member to the level difference part of the potential of an image carrier at a transfer bias application starting position, even in a charge injecting and cleanerless type image forming device in which the conductive member is disposed while being abutted on an image carrier between a transfer position and an electrifying position so as to apply voltage. SOLUTION: Before electrifying the image scheduled area of the image carrier 1, the application of transfer voltage is started before the edge of that area passes through the transfer position T, so that the toner (developer) discharged to the image carrier 1 from the conductive member 12 does not get into the image so as to prevent the horizontal stripe. By starting the application of the transfer bias stepwise, a sudden potential difference is not give to the image carrier 1 so as to prevent the horizontal stripe. |
