PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly select and reproduce the animation file stored in a DVD- ROM disk. SOLUTION: By a DVD-ROM drive control device 13, the connecting state of each of connected DVD-ROM drives 12A, 12B, 12C, 12D is checked at the time of starting the DVD-ROM drive device, and drive names 'E, F, G, H' corresponded to each drive are displayed on a display 14. The information of the DVD-ROM disk mounted on e.g. the DVD-ROM drive 12A corresponding to 'E', the drive name at the initial setting or the drive name selected by the user, is read out by the DVD-ROM drive control device 13, then a list of the animation files stored in this DVD-ROM disk is displayed on the display 14. The reproduction of the amimation file selected by the user is started by the DVD-ROM drive control device 13.
