PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To close a fluid control valve so as to prevent an accident related to a gas flow passage by driving the fluid control valve according to an opening/closing action of a general purpose apparatus. SOLUTION: When a room for cooking by a gas table 24 is not used after cooking with the gas table 24 is finished, a switch 31 for a fluorescent light is turned off, and a signal transmitted from a transmission means 33 is received in a receiving means 21 in a gas meter 9 via antennas 34, 20. The received signal is processed in a computing processing unit 16, the signal is fed to a drive controlling means 18, and a driving signal is outputted to a driving circuit unit 17. Consequently, a stepping motor 15 is driven so as to close a fluid control valve 14. On the other hand, the fluorescent light switch 31 is turned on, the fluid control valve 14 is closed, and the gas table 24 is used usually. In this way, an accident due to gas leakage can be prevented.
