PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling torque of a compressor during starting. SOLUTION: Before a power is fed to a compressor 10, an amount of a refrigerant supplied to the compressor 10 is suppressed by a suction regulation valve 20. Solenoid valves 18 and 19 are opened so that the suction side and the discharge side are interconnected only by a bank 10-2, and other banks 10-1 and 10-3 are caused to bypass. A power is fed to the compressor 10 and after the compressor 10 reaches an operation speed, the solenoid valves 18 and 19 are closed to disconnect bypass of the banks 10-1 and 10-3. An amount of a refrigerant supplied to the compressor 10 is increased by the suction regulation valve 20 with the suction side and the discharge side interconnected through all the banks 10-1, 10-2, and 10-3.
