PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk camera that can edit a video clip seamlessly at random and can construct an inexpensive system without the need for intervention of another recorder. SOLUTION: In the case of reproducing a video clip recorded on an optical disk medium 24, a processor 21 reads a table of contents recorded on an innermost circumference or an outermost circumference of the optical disk medium 24, reproduces the video clip, by a time that is a multiple of one to 1.2 of a longest access time required from an endmost point of the video clip to the innermost circumference or the outermost circumference, from the optical disk medium 24, and an SDRAM 20 stores the video signal of the video slip via a variable length decoders 18 and a post processor 19. The processor 21 reproduces the video signal from the optical disk medium 24 by using an optical head, reproduces the video clip from the SDRAM 20 when the optical head moves to a succeeding sector so as to reproduces video signal of a succeeding sector from the optical disk medium 24 as its control.
