The aerial arrangement for a portable radio communication device has an aerial component (110) with a feed part connectable to a feed arrangement and an earthing part (118) connectable to an earthing arrangement in the radio communication device. A contact unit (120) is provided for external connection with a feed part (122) connectable to the feed arrangement and an earthing part (124) connectable to an earthing arrangement in the radio communication device. The earthing part is mechanically and electrically connected to the aerial component. The aerial component is provided with an opening or a slot (116), through which the contact unit extends into it.
