发明名称 UN MECANISMO DE DESPRENDIMIENTO PARA PARACAiDAS
摘要
690,998. Parachutes. IRVING AIR CHUTE OF GREAT BRITAIN. Ltd. March 13. 1951. [March 27, 1950] No. 7621/50. Class 4. Parachute release mechanism comprises a spring-actuated mechanism in combination with means for controlling the freeing of the spring- actuated mechanism for movement to a parachute-releasing condition, such means being themselves driven in a releasing direction by the spring-actuated mechanism and associated with subsidiary control means consisting of or including a barometrically controlled device. As shown the rip-cord 7 is attached to a plunger 27 loaded by a compression spring 28, a peripheral groove 29 in the plunger engaging a pawl 31 carried by a lever 32 pivoting about a pin 33. The upper end of the lever 32 carries a pin 35 engaging a pin 36 in the spindle 37 of a toothed sector 38, forming the first member of a time-delay gear train 41, 43, 44, 45, the latter member of which gears with a pinion 46, Fig. 3, (not shown) driving an eccentric 48 engaging a forked element 49 secured to an oscillating governor disc 50. The time-delay mechanism may be prevented from operating by obstructing a pin 53 on the pinion 44 by means of a pin 55 operated by a barometric capsule to prevent opening of the parachute above a predetermined height, or by a spring 54, the end of which may be moved into the path of the pin 53. During normal automatic operation the end of the spring 54 is first withdrawn from the path of the pin 53 by the removal of an arming pin by a static or manually-operated line, and if the jump is made at a sufficiently low height the pin 55 is clear of the pin 53 to allow operation of the gear train, but if made at a great height the train is prevented from operating until the barometric capsule withdraws the stop pin 55 when the predetermined operating height is reached. When the gear train is freed the spring 28 forces the plunger 27 to the right, thereby moving the pawl 31 upwards and rotating the lever 32 clockwise to initiate rotation of the train. At the end of the delay period the pawl 31 moves clear of the plunger 27 and the spring 28 operates the rip cord 7. In an emergency, such as in the event of failure of the automatic control, the cord 7 may be operated by a rip ring on the wearer's harness. In an alternative arrangement, Figs. 6-8 (not shown), the arming pin for the spring 54 is withdrawn by a pilot parachute. Specification 601,829 is referred to.
