发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device which has its rise in cost suppressed on the whole and has small display unevenness by generating correction data from display data in a display period and applying a correcting voltage in a blanking period. SOLUTION: If voltages applied to data electrodes Xa to Xc vary with the electrostatic capacity of a liquid crystal cell itself and the resistance component between both the electrodes, the applied voltages themselves have waveform rounding and when the data electrodes Xa to Xc are different in the cumulative quantity of waveform rounding, the difference is displayed as display unevenness, i.e., shadowing on the liquid crystal panel. Then, one frame period wherein on picture is displayed is divided into an effective display period and an ineffective display period (blanking period); and the numbers of changes of the data electrode applied voltages are accumulated in the effective display period for each data electrodes and correcting voltages are applied to the data electrodes in the blanking period according to the results to improve the shadowing. Vertical shadowing can be reduced without adding any dedicated correcting power circuit.
