摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read out data accurately even when residual polarization quantity is decreased. SOLUTION: Data are read out from a storage element by applying the prescribed voltage to the storage element (point E or point F), next, '1' is written by applying voltage of an opposite polarization to read-out voltage to the storage element (point K), next, voltage by which polarization quantity of the storage element is half or more of polarization quantity when '0' is written in the storage element and polarization quantity of the storage element is half or less of polarization quantity when '1' is written is applied to the storage element (point G). Thereby, a polarization state of the storage element becomes a state in which polarization is not performed (point H). And data are read out from the storage element by applying read-out voltage to the storage element in this polarization state (point I), this data are used as reference voltage and read out data are compared with the reference voltage, and data written in the storage element are discriminated based on the compared result.
