PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and device for preparing a circuit symbol by which manhours for preparing a circuit symbol is reduced and the quality of the prepared circuit symbol, is improved, and to provide a recording medium in which a circuit symbol preparing program is recorded. SOLUTION: When a designer executes operation for copying contents described in an input area generated by a pin information definition part 6 to an optional position of a circuit symbol shape prepared by a shape definition part 7, an interlocking mechanism 8 controls the display of necessary information on the copied position of the circuit symbol shape. When the designer inputs a pin attribute, an attribute inscribing mechanism 9 sets up the pin attribute in an input area generated by a pin information definition part 6 and executes control so as to display the pin attribute on a position corresponding to the circuit symbol shape prepared by the shape definition part 7 as a symbol.
