The impression tray is used by a dentist to take impressions of transfers of dental implants (10). The impression is taken using a plastic molding material (13) surrounding a central bush, which accommodates a fastening screw (9) which engages in the bone (11) of the lower or upper jaw. The material produces an accurate impression of the gum (12). The impression tray forms a perforated cage, which is placed over the plastic material, which can extrude through the perforations to a small extent. A removable perforated plate (5) covers the occlusal surface, and has spigots (7) which engage with the impression tray.
