PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission characteristics by using as an insulating coating of an insulating wire an insulating material having dielectric constant lower than a specific value and oxygen index higher than a specific value. SOLUTION: Preferably, as an insulating coating of an insulating wire of this twist flat cable, an insulating material where dielectric constant measured based on ASTM standard D-1531 is not higher than 2.6 (frequency is 1-100 MHz), and oxygen index measured based on ASTM standard D-2863 is not lower than 25 because it as a cable must have a fire resistance higher than the criteria in a horizontal combustion test (UL standard UL 1581). A parallel welded portion of the twist flat cable is formed of a conductor 3 and the insulating coating 4, and the insulating coating 4 on each insulating wire are welded through welded portions 5. Because the insulating coating 4 can be extruded stably and must have good welding during formation of the parallel welded portion, TPO (thermoplastic olefin) is optimal.
