PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save wiring, and facilitate combination of various switches and indicating lamps by performing control of at least one operation by sequential scan, of an input operation for taking input of an input apparatus and an output operation for supplying output to an output apparatus. SOLUTION: An MPU 19 as a control means placed on an MPU substrate 17 of this assembled device 1 for saving wiring performs dynamic scan as sequential scan for apparatuses 161,1-164,4 incorporated into each matrix-shaped partition to take inputs from input apparatuses 161,1-164,4 or supply outputs to output apparatuses 161,1-164,4. The MPU 19 supplies a clock for operation timing to each of wiring substrates 111, 112. In addition, the MPU 19 can perform serial communication with an external apparatus such as a personal computer or a programmable controller through an RS232C communication cable via a communication IC 21 installed on the MPU substrate 17.
