PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a servo valve input signal as large as possible, and to simultaneously operate stably. SOLUTION: A hydraulic actuator 8 operated by a servo valve 7 applies a load on a material test piece 9. A sensor 11 detects the load. A multiplied signal is obtained by multiplying a differential signal Er between a control target input signal Ei and a detected signal Ef from sensor by a proportionality factor Kp to provide for thr servo valve 7. The proportionality factor Kp is changed to increase as an absolute value of the detected signal from the sensor 11 increases.
