PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an announcement from being not properly reproduced resulting from misjudgment of announcement data having a partial error in the case of storing the announcement data to a memory section for reception of a digital audio broadcast signal. SOLUTION: The broadcast signal receiver is provided with a control unit 50 that detects a period of an announcement represented by announcement data on the basis of control information data reproduced by a data reproduction section 23 and provides an output of an announcement period detection output denoting a detected period, a memory section 34 to/from which program data reproduced by the data reproduction section 23 are written/read, and an announcement data control section 35 that receives the program data and an announcement period detection output and sets a state to the memory section 34 that part of the announcement data denoting no error for one period of the announcement is written when the program data represent the announcement repeated for a plurality of number of times with a prescribed period.
